The Index is an unmanaged equal-weighted version of the S&P 500 Consumer Discretionary Index that consists of the common stocks of industries, such as automobiles and components, consumer durables, apparel, hotels, restaurants, leisure, media and retailing that comprise the consumer discretionary sector of the S&P 500 Index. The Fund uses a passive management strategy, known as replication, to track the performance of the Index. Replication refers to investing in substantially all of the securities in the Index in approximately the same proportions as in the Index. The Fund is advised by PADCO Advisors II, Inc., which operates under the name Rydex Investments.

The Homebuilders Index is a modified equal weight index. The Fund invests in substantially all of the securities represented in the Index in approximately the same proportions as the Index. In addition, the Fund may invest in equity securities that are not included in the Index, cash and cash equivalents or money market instruments, such as repurchase agreements and money market funds (including money market funds advised by SSgA Funds Management, Inc. the investment adviser to the Fund.
