The Company is focused on the exploration and the development opportunities within the oil sands and heavy oil industry. It has a portfolio of exploration leases in Canada's Athabasca oil sands. The Company's portfolio of oil sands leases consists of a 100% working-interest in 140,160 acres in the Athabasca Oil Sands Area of northeastern Alberta. These leases include leases 418 and 271, covering 23,040 acres of undeveloped lands. In addition, the Company holds 94,080 net acres of exploration lands in the Birch Mountains area on the west side of the Athabasca River, and leases 422 and 423 each comprising 11,520 acres both of which are located on the east side of the Athabasca River.
