Hargreave Hale AIM VCT 2 plc is a venture capital trust (VCT). The investment objective of the Company is to achieve long-term capital growth and to maximize tax-free distributions to shareholders by investing in a diversified portfolio of small United Kingdom companies primarily trading on alternative investment market (AIM). The Company's other investment objectives are to invest in smaller companies, which may not be readily accessible to private individuals and which also tend to be more risky; to maximize distributions to shareholders from capital gains and income generated from the its funds; targeted investment in equities, which are non-qualifying investments on an opportunistic basis, and to maintain its exposure to small companies through an initial investment of new capital into the Marlborough Special Situations Fund pending investment into Qualifying Companies. It invests in liquid assets, such as gilts and bank deposits. Hargreave Hale Limited is its investment manager.
