World Energy Solutions, Inc. (World Energy) offers a range of energy management solutions to commercial and industrial businesses, institutions, utilities, and governments. It has developed three online auction platforms. On the World Energy Exchange energy consumers in North America are able to negotiate for the purchase or sale of electricity, natural gas and other energy resources from competing energy suppliers, which has agreed to participate on the Company's auction platform in a given event. On the World Green Exchange, buyers and sellers negotiate for the purchase or sale of environmental commodities, such as renewal energy certificates, verified emissions reductions and certified emissions reductions. On the World DR Exchange, curtailment service providers and energy consumers are brought together in auction events designed to yield price transparency, heighten competition, and maximize the energy consumers' share of demand response revenues.
