What are analysts saying about Fluor Corporation stock?
Here are some recent quotes from research analysts about Fluor Corporation stock:
According to Zacks Investment Research, "Over the past six months, Fluor’s shares have underperformed compared to the Zacks-categorized Engineering/R&D Services industry average. Also, Fluor has a dull earnings surprise history missing estimates thrice over the trailing four quarters. Volatility in commodity prices, along with a dismal outlook for the energy and mining markets, add to the company’s woes. This apart, softness in key geographic regions is also posing challenges for the company’s non-oil and gas end markets. However, on the positive side, Fluor’s robust level of backlogs, with lucrative award wins in Government and Infrastructure, are likely to act as primary growth drivers, going forward. In addition, the company’s leading position in nuclear remediation at government facilities throughout the U.S. is encouraging, holding lucrative opportunities for growth. Also, Fluor’s healthy liquidity position adds to its strength." (1/4/2017)
FBR & Co analysts commented, "We are lowering our estimates to reflect weaker revenue and profit margin expectations for both 2016 and 2017 [...] the share price is not expensive, yet given the significantly uncertain outlook across the global oil & gas and mining market-place, we believe that it is unlikely that backlog (and subsequently earnings) will increase."
