What are analysts saying about Hess Corporation stock?
Here are some recent quotes from research analysts about Hess Corporation stock:
- KLR Group analysts commented, "We are increasing our HES target price $4 to $72 per share due to incrementally stronger Bakken midstream margins and NGL price realizations. Hess's mid-cycle capital yield is ~130% versus the industry median cash recycle ratio of ~140%. Our '17 production expectation of ~311 Mboepd is fractionally above company guidance (300-310 Mboepd)." (1/26/2017)
According to Zacks Investment Research, "Given that Hess is predominantly an E&P entity, it has changed its growth approach from high-impact exploration to low-risk unconventional oil and gas resources. The company currently has a smaller, more focused exploration portfolio. Hess’ effort to streamline its business will go a long way in tackling the current market of volatile commodity prices. However, being a firm in the E&P industry, Hess’ profitability has expectedly taken a beating in this weakly priced oil and gas market. Moreover, we believe that potential asset sales will likely hamper the company’s production and lower its profitability level. Although, we see the oil prices have risen in the last few days, it is still below the breakeven price for the company. Therefore, we see limited upside from current levels." (8/4/2016)
