Nuveen New York Quality Income Municipal Fund, Inc. (the Fund) is a closed-end management investment company. The Fund seeks to provide current income exempt from both regular federal and New York state income taxes, and in the case of Insured New York Tax-Free Advantage (NRK) the alternative minimum tax applicable to individuals, by investing primarily in a portfolio of municipal obligations issued by state and local government authorities within the state of New York or certain United States territories. The Fund invests at least 80% of its Managed Assets in municipal securities that are covered by insurance guaranteeing the timely payment of principal and interest. The Fund’s investment portfolio includes consumer staples, education and civic organizations, healthcare, housing/multifamily, transportation, utilities and water and sewer. The Fund’s advisor is Nuveen Fund Advisors, Inc.
