Avnel Gold Mining Limited is a Canada-based natural resource company engaged in the business of exploration, mine development, and the mining and extraction of precious metals, principally gold, with operations in south-western Mali in West Africa. The Company owns an equity interest in Societe d'Exploitation des Mines d'Or de Kalana, S.A. (SOMIKA), which is its principal asset. SOMIKA owns and operates the Kalana Mine, the underground gold mine, and holds rights to the Kalana Exploitation Permit, a combined exploitation and exploration permit in Mali. This permit is also host to over 30 exploration targets, including the Kalana Main Project, the development-stage project. The Kalana Main Project is located in south-western Mali. The Kalana Exploitation Permit covers a surface area of over 387.4 square kilometers. The Company is owned by Endeavour Mining.
