Extendicare Inc. (Extendicare) is a provider of post-acute and long-term senior care services. The Company offering post-acute, rehabilitative therapies and long-term care through its network of owned and operated senior care centers that include nursing centers in the United States and nursing centers in Canada. The Company operates in two segments: United States operations and Canadian operations. The Company is operating over 245 senior care centers with capacity for approximately 26,828 residents. In the United States, Extendicare’s indirect wholly owned subsidiary, Extendicare Health Services, Inc., (EHSI) operates over 158 senior care facilities in the United States with approximately 15,400 beds. EHSI offers a continuum of health care services, including nursing care, assisted living and related medical specialty services, such as subacute care and rehabilitative therapy on an inpatient and outpatient basis.
