Goldman Sachs U.S. Income Builder Trust is a closed-end investment fund. The Fund's investment objective is to seek to provide income and capital appreciation, in each case, through investing in an actively managed, diversified portfolio comprised primarily of the United States fixed income and equity securities. It seeks to provide income through investments in fixed income securities (bonds) and high dividend paying equities, preferred equities and other similar securities (stocks). It invests in various sectors, including consumer discretionary, financial services, healthcare, telecommunication services, information technology, energy, consumer staples, utilities, cash, industrial, materials and government treasury note and treasury bond. Its portfolio holds over 160 fixed income investments consisting of 120 corporate bonds and 40 floating-rate senior term loans. Goldman Sachs Asset Management, LP is the sub-advisor of the Fund.
