Aberdeen Latin America Equity Fund, Inc. (the Fund) is a non-diversified closed-end, management investment company. The Fund's investment objective is to seek long-term capital appreciation by investing in Latin American equity securities. The Fund may invest approximately 10% of its assets (at the time of commitment) in illiquid equity securities, including securities of private equity funds (whether in corporate or partnership form) that invest in emerging markets. The Fund invests in sectors, including information technology, financials, healthcare, materials, energy, real estate, consumer staples, utilities, industrials, consumer discretionary. It invests in various geographical locations, including Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Colombia, the United States and Peru. Aberdeen Asset Managers Limited (AAML) serves as the Fund's investment advisor. AAML is a subsidiary of Aberdeen Asset Management PLC, which is the Fund's Administrator.
