ArcelorMittal South Africa is the country’s leading integrated steel producer and a subsidiary of global steel giant ArcelorMittal. The company operates a network of primary and downstream facilities, including the Vanderbijlpark Works, Pretoria Works and Newcastle Works. It manufactures a broad range of steel products such as liquid steel, semi-finished blooms and slabs, flat carbon steel, wire rod, reinforcing bar, beams and merchant bar products. In 2006, following the merger of Mittal Steel and Arcelor, the company adopted the ArcelorMittal South Africa name and integrated into one of the world’s largest steel-making groups.

Headquartered in Vanderbijlpark on the Vaal River near Johannesburg, ArcelorMittal South Africa serves the domestic market as well as export destinations across sub-Saharan Africa, Europe and other international regions. The company focuses on sustainable steelmaking practices, investing in energy efficiency and environmental management to meet both local regulatory standards and the broader group’s sustainability objectives.
