In addition, the company offers an online video-based medical cannabis education system, including courses, such as medical cannabis law, benefits of medical marijuana, cooking, horticulture, and bud tending; and manufactures and distributes specialty horse and pet grooming and topical applications. It has collaboration with IGXBio, Inc. to develop GenePro, a DNA-based immunotherapeutic drug; and a research collaboration agreement with Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Inc. to develop and investigate the use of cannabinoids to cure various cancers, as well as with Stellenbosch University to treat chronic pelvic pain associated with pelvic inflammatory disease in women, chronic prostatitis in men, and other chronic pain associated with other indications. The company was formerly known as Gulf Onshore, Inc. and changed its name to Cannabis Science, Inc. in April 2009. The company was incorporated in 1996 and is based in Irvine, California. Cannabis Science, Inc. is a subsidiary of Weedmaps Media, Inc.
