About Spirit Aerosystems

Spirit Aerosystems (NYSE:SPR) is one of the world’s largest independent manufacturers of aerostructures for commercial and defense aircraft. Established in 2005 as a spin-off from The Boeing Company’s Wichita division, Spirit designs, builds and assembles complex assemblies and components such as fuselages, wing systems, pylons and nacelles. The company’s core business activities center on lightweight composite and aluminum structures, advanced tooling, and aftermarket services to support the full life cycle of an aircraft.

In its commercial segment, Spirit AeroSystems supplies major airframers including Boeing and Airbus, producing critical sections for models such as the 737, 777, 787 and A350 families. The defense and space segment delivers structures and systems for tiltrotor and helicopter programs, unmanned aerial vehicles, and military transport aircraft. Spirit also offers aftermarket support through repair, overhaul, spares provisioning and modifications, helping operators optimize fleet performance and minimize downtime.

Headquartered in Wichita, Kansas, Spirit operates additional manufacturing and service facilities across North America, Europe and Asia, including sites in Kinston, North Carolina; Tulsa, Oklahoma; Prestwick, Scotland; and Subang, Malaysia. These strategically located operations enable the company to serve global customers with regional production and support capabilities, reinforcing its position as a key supplier in the aerospace value chain.

Since its inception, Spirit AeroSystems has focused on innovation in materials science and manufacturing processes to reduce weight, improve fuel efficiency and lower operating costs for its customers. Led by an experienced executive team and overseen by a board of directors with deep aerospace expertise, the company continues to pursue opportunities in emerging markets such as electric and autonomous flight while maintaining its commitment to quality, safety and on-time delivery.
