About Eaton

Eaton (NYSE:ETN) Corporation plc is a global power management company that designs, manufactures and sells electrical, hydraulic and mechanical power management products and services. Its product portfolio spans electrical distribution and control systems, hydraulic components, aerospace fuel and motion control systems, and vehicle drivetrain and powertrain solutions. Eaton serves a broad range of end markets including commercial and residential construction, data centers, industrial manufacturing, aerospace and automotive sectors.

The company traces its roots to 1911 with the founding of the Torbensen Gear and Axle Company in Cleveland, Ohio. Over the ensuing decades, a series of mergers and acquisitions—including the 1974 acquisition of Cutler-Hammer and the 2012 merger with Cooper Industries—expanded Eaton’s reach and product offerings. Following a corporate restructuring in 2012, the company adopted a dual listing structure and established its legal headquarters in Dublin, Ireland, while retaining significant operational facilities in North America and around the world.

Eaton’s electrical segment provides a range of solutions for power distribution, circuit protection, backup power and energy efficiency. Its hydraulics business offers pumps, valves, motors and filtration systems that support mobile and industrial applications. In aerospace, Eaton develops fuel, hydraulic and pneumatic systems for commercial and military aircraft. The company’s vehicle division supplies transmissions, clutches and hybrid power systems for heavy-duty trucks, buses and specialty vehicles.

Operating in more than 175 countries, Eaton maintains major manufacturing and R&D facilities across the Americas, Europe, Asia Pacific and the Middle East. The firm is led by Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Craig Arnold, who has overseen efforts to advance technological innovation and sustainability initiatives, including expanded offerings in energy-efficient electrical products and electric vehicle infrastructure. Eaton continues to pursue strategic investments to address the evolving needs of global power management markets.
