About JSC National Atomic Company Kazatomprom

JSC National Atomic Company Kazatomprom (OTCMKTS:NATKY) is Kazakhstan’s state‐owned uranium producer and the world’s largest supplier of natural uranium oxide. Founded in 1997 and headquartered in Astana, Kazatomprom oversees the country’s exploration, mining and export of uranium and related services. The company holds mineral rights for a number of significant in‐situ leaching (ISL) uranium deposits and conducts downstream activities through various joint ventures and subsidiaries.

Kazatomprom’s core operations focus on the recovery and processing of uranium ore into U3O8 concentrate. Its principal mining assets include the Inkai, South Inkai, Zarechnoye and Budenovskoye ISL projects, among others, which collectively account for a substantial share of global uranium output. Beyond raw material production, the company participates in conversion and enrichment ventures, enabling it to offer a fuller range of nuclear fuel cycle services to international utilities.

The company markets uranium under long‐term and spot contracts to nuclear power operators across Asia, Europe, North America and other regions. It maintains strategic partnerships with major industry players, including joint ventures with Canadian and Chinese firms, to secure technology transfer and broaden its commercial reach. Kazatomprom also invests in research into next‐generation reactor fuels and the development of rare earth element processing.

Majority‐owned by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan through the Ministry of Energy, Kazatomprom is led by Chief Executive Officer Magzum Mirzagaliyev, who assumed the role in 2018. Under his stewardship, the company has pursued optimization of production costs, enhanced environmental and safety standards and deeper integration into the global nuclear fuel market. Kazatomprom continues to position itself as a key enabler of the world’s transition to low‐carbon energy.
