Liberty Global has interests in communications businesses serving customers in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Belgium and Switzerland, including Virgin Media O2 in the U.K., VodafoneZiggo in the Netherlands, Telenet in Belgium and Sunrise in Switzerland. Several of these operations are held through joint ventures or other strategic investments.

Liberty Global was formed in 2005 through the combination of UnitedGlobalCom and Liberty Media International. The company is led by Chief Executive Officer Mike Fries, who has served in that role since 2005. Liberty Global’s Class B ordinary shares trade on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the symbol LBTYB.
