Nevsun Resources Ltd. was a Canadian mining company focused on the exploration, development and operation of base-metal and precious-metal projects. Its activities centered on copper, zinc and gold, with operations and development assets in Africa and Europe.

The company’s principal producing asset was the Bisha mine in Eritrea, which produced gold and copper before transitioning to zinc production. Nevsun also advanced the Timok copper-gold project in Serbia, a high-grade development opportunity acquired through its purchase of Reservoir Minerals.

Nevsun was acquired by Zijin Mining Group in 2018, and its shares were subsequently delisted. The company is therefore no longer an independent publicly traded issuer under the NYSE American symbol NSU.
