Aurizon Mines Ltd. (Aurizon), incorporated on April 8, 1988, is a Canada-based gold producer with operations and development activities in the Abitibi region of north-western Quebec. Aurizon owns 100% of the producing Casa Berardi Gold Mine (Casa Berardi Gold Mine) and also owns a 100% interest in the Joanna Gold Development Project, a development-stage gold property (the Joanna Gold Development Project). The Company's principal product is gold, with gold sales accounting for all of the Company's revenues. The Casa Berardi Gold Mine is located in the Province of Quebec, approximately 95 kilometers north of the town of La Sarre, in the James Bay municipality. During the year ended December 31, 2011, its gold production from the Casa Berardi Gold Mine totaled 163845 ounces. In January 2013, Alamos Gold Inc acquired 14.3% interest of the Company. In June 2013, Hecla Mining Co acquired the entire interest of the Company.
