AES Tietê Energia S.A. was a Brazilian electric power generation company formerly controlled by The AES Corporation. The company developed and operated a portfolio of renewable-energy assets, with hydroelectric generation as its historical core business and additional investments in wind and solar power.

The company supplied electricity to commercial and industrial customers, utilities and other market participants through regulated and bilateral power-purchase agreements, as well as Brazil’s open electricity market. Its activities also included energy trading, portfolio management and the development of new renewable-energy projects.

AES Tietê was established in 1999 following the privatization of Brazil’s Tietê hydroelectric generation business and was headquartered in São Paulo. In 2021, it adopted the name AES Brasil Energia as it expanded beyond its original hydroelectric operations. In 2024, AES Brasil was acquired by Auren Energia, ending its operation as an independent publicly traded company.
