Originally established around Frankfurt Airport operations in the early 20th century, the business was reorganized into Fraport AG following aviation reforms in Germany. The company’s shares trade on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and it maintains a diversified ownership structure that includes municipal and state stakeholders alongside private investors. Fraport is led by CEO Stefan Schulte, who joined the board in the early 2000s and has overseen the group’s strategic expansion into new markets and service lines.
