To provide holders of Preferred shares with fixed cumulative preferrential quarterly cash distributions and to return the original issue price on the maturity date. To provide holders of Class A shares with regular monthly cash distributions3 and the opportunity for capital appreciation. To achieve these objectives, the Fund invests in a portfolio of equity securities of at least 15 large¿capitalization North American oil and gas issuers selected by the Manager from the S&P 500 Index and the S&P/TSX Composite Index. The portfolio is focused primarily on oil and gas issuers that have significant exposure to oil. The Fund may also invest up to 25% of the portfolio value, as measured at the time of investment, in equity securities of issuers listed on the S&P 500 Index or the S&P/TSX Composite Index that satisfy the Funds market capitalization and dividend criteria and that operate in energy subsectors including equipment, services, pipelines, transportation and infrastructure.
