Transportadora de Gas del Sur S.A. (TGS) is an Argentine energy infrastructure company engaged primarily in the transportation of natural gas. It operates one of the country’s largest gas pipeline systems, moving natural gas from producing regions in southern and western Argentina to distribution companies, power generators, industrial customers and other users.

In addition to pipeline transportation, TGS processes natural gas and produces and markets natural gas liquids, including propane, butane and ethane. Its processing activities are centered at the General Cerri complex near Bahía Blanca, while its midstream services include gas gathering, conditioning and related infrastructure for producers. The company also provides telecommunications services through fiber-optic assets connected to its pipeline network.

TGS was established in 1992 as part of the privatization of Argentina’s natural gas transportation system. Its operations primarily serve Argentina, with a particular focus on the southern and central regions and the country’s major demand centers.
