Magyar Bancorp (NASDAQ:MGYR) is the holding company for Magyar Bank, a community banking institution headquartered in New Brunswick, New Jersey. The bank serves individuals, families and businesses in central New Jersey through a network of branch offices and digital banking services.

Magyar Bank offers a range of traditional banking products, including checking and savings accounts, certificates of deposit, consumer loans, residential mortgages, home equity financing and commercial real estate and business loans. Its services also include online and mobile banking, cash management and other banking solutions for personal and business customers.

Magyar Bank traces its origins to 1922, when it was established to serve the local Hungarian-American community. Magyar Bancorp became a publicly traded bank holding company following the bank’s mutual-to-stock conversion in 2005. The company’s operations remain focused primarily on communities in central New Jersey, and John S. Fitzgerald serves as president and chief executive officer.
