Ingles Markets (NASDAQ:IMKTA) operates supermarkets serving communities across the southeastern United States. The company’s stores offer a broad selection of groceries, including fresh produce, meat and seafood, dairy products, bakery items, deli foods, packaged goods, and general merchandise.

Many Ingles locations also provide additional customer services, such as in-store pharmacies, fuel stations, and prepared-food offerings. The company owns and operates Milkco, Inc., a dairy-processing subsidiary that supplies milk and other dairy products to Ingles stores and outside customers.

Founded in 1963 by Robert P. Ingle, the company is headquartered in Asheville, North Carolina. Ingles primarily serves customers in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia, and Alabama. James W. Lanning serves as chief executive officer, while Robert P. Ingle II serves as chairman.
