About Engie Brasl Ega

ENGIE Brasil Energia S.A. is a Brazilian power-generation company and a subsidiary of the global ENGIE Group. The company develops, constructs, owns and operates electricity-generation assets and sells energy to commercial, industrial and other customers in Brazil.

Its generation portfolio includes hydroelectric, wind, solar and thermal power projects, as well as facilities fueled by biomass. ENGIE Brasil Energia has also participated in the development and operation of energy infrastructure and related services, supporting Brazil’s electricity system and the transition toward a more diversified generation mix.

The company was established in 1998 as Tractebel Energia and adopted the ENGIE Brasil Energia name in 2016 following the rebranding of its controlling shareholder. Its operations are concentrated in Brazil, where it maintains a portfolio of power plants and renewable-energy projects. The company is headquartered in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina.
