About Atomera

Atomera (NASDAQ:ATOM) is a semiconductor materials and technology company that develops and licenses process technologies designed to improve the performance, power efficiency and scalability of semiconductor devices. Its primary technology is Mears Silicon Technology (MST), a proprietary materials engineering approach that incorporates ultra-thin layers into silicon transistor structures.

MST is intended to enhance transistor characteristics such as carrier mobility and leakage control, potentially enabling semiconductor manufacturers to achieve improved performance or lower power consumption without requiring a complete redesign of their manufacturing processes. Atomera targets applications across the semiconductor industry, including logic, analog, radio-frequency and memory devices.

Atomera generally operates through technology licensing and joint development relationships with semiconductor manufacturers, foundries and integrated device manufacturers. The company was founded in 2001 and is headquartered in Los Gatos, California. Scott Bibaud serves as its president and chief executive officer, while co-founder Robert Mears is associated with the development of the company’s MST technology.
