About Axalta Coating Systems

Axalta Coating Systems (NYSE:AXTA) is a global coatings company that develops, manufactures and sells liquid and powder coatings for transportation, industrial and commercial applications. Its products are designed to provide protection, durability, color and other performance characteristics for vehicles, equipment, buildings and manufactured goods.

The company serves the automotive refinish market with coatings, color-matching technology and related products used to repair and restore vehicle finishes. Axalta also supplies coatings to vehicle manufacturers and transportation-equipment producers, as well as industrial customers in markets such as general manufacturing, infrastructure, building products and energy solutions. Its portfolio includes well-known brands such as Cromax, Standox, Spies Hecker, Imron and Alesta.

Axalta traces its corporate history to DuPont Performance Coatings, which was acquired by The Carlyle Group in 2013 and subsequently renamed Axalta Coating Systems.
