About Algoma Central

Algoma Central (OTCMKTS:AGMJF) is a Canadian marine transportation company headquartered in St. Catharines, Ontario. The company provides marine shipping services for dry-bulk and liquid-bulk cargoes, moving essential commodities for industrial, agricultural and energy customers.

Algoma’s domestic dry-bulk operations serve the Great Lakes–St. Lawrence Seaway system, transporting cargo such as grain, iron ore, salt, stone and other bulk materials. The company also operates product tankers that carry liquid commodities, including petroleum products and chemicals, in support of regional supply chains.

Through its international operations and joint ventures, Algoma participates in the ownership and operation of self-unloading vessels serving customers in markets outside the Great Lakes region. The company traces its history to 1899, when it was established as Algoma Central Railway, and has since developed into a diversified marine transportation business. Algoma Central is led by President and Chief Executive Officer Gregg Ruhl.
