About ThredUp

ThredUp (NASDAQ:TDUP) operates an online resale platform focused on secondhand apparel. Through its marketplace, the company offers pre-owned women’s and children’s clothing, shoes, accessories and other fashion items from a range of brands. ThredUp manages much of the resale process, including item intake, inspection, pricing, photography, listing, order fulfillment and returns.

The company serves individual consumers who want to buy or resell used clothing and also works with brands and retailers through resale and “Resale-as-a-Service” programs. These services are designed to help retail partners offer secondhand merchandise, develop trade-in programs and support more circular approaches to fashion.

ThredUp was founded in 2009 by James Reinhart, Chris Homer and Oliver Lubin. The company became publicly traded on the Nasdaq under the symbol TDUP in 2021. Reinhart serves as ThredUp’s chief executive officer. The company has primarily operated in the United States and has also expanded its resale technology and marketplace activities internationally, including through its acquisition of Remix Global, a European online resale business.
