About Vaxcyte

Vaxcyte (NASDAQ:PCVX) (NASDAQ: PCVX) is a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing vaccines to help prevent serious bacterial infections. The company uses its cell-free protein synthesis and advanced conjugation technologies to design vaccines intended to provide broad and durable protection while addressing limitations of existing vaccine products.

Vaxcyte’s lead programs are pneumococcal conjugate vaccine candidates, including VAX-24 and VAX-31, which are designed to target a broad range of pneumococcal serotypes. These candidates are being developed for the prevention of invasive pneumococcal disease and pneumococcal pneumonia in adults. The company is also advancing additional vaccine programs targeting other bacterial pathogens, although its pipeline remains focused primarily on pneumococcal disease.

Founded in 2013 as SutroVax and renamed Vaxcyte in 2020, the company is headquartered in San Carlos, California. Vaxcyte is developing its vaccine candidates for potential use in global markets and does not currently have a marketed commercial product. Grant Pickering, Ph.D., serves as the company’s chief executive officer.
