Ameren (NYSE:AEE) is a regulated utility holding company that provides electric and natural gas services to customers in Illinois and Missouri. Ameren was formed in 1997 through the merger of Union Electric and Central Illinois Public Service Company. The company is headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri. Martin J. Lyons Jr. serves as Ameren’s president and chief executive officer.
