Chindata Group Earnings Headlines

First Look: Elon’s “Starphone”
Rumors are swirling that Elon Musk is developing a new mobile device that could rival the iPhone. It's said to be thinner, longer-lasting on battery, and cheaper to produce, with the ability to work worldwide without relying on cell towers. Former Bloomberg reporter and SAC Capital trader Josh Baylin says the evidence is mounting. He notes the FCC recently gave Musk a green light connected to his mobile plans, adding fuel to speculation. Baylin previously called the smartphone boom in 2004 and predicted Apple would sell a billion phones when others expected a fraction of that.tc pixel

About Chindata Group

Chindata Group (NASDAQ:CD) was a data center operator that provided infrastructure and technology services for cloud service providers, internet companies, financial institutions and other enterprise customers. Its offerings included the design, development and operation of hyperscale data centers, as well as related network connectivity, computing infrastructure and information technology services.

Founded in 2015 and headquartered in Beijing, Chindata focused primarily on markets across Asia-Pacific, including China and selected countries in Southeast and South Asia. The company’s facilities and services were designed to support customers’ cloud computing, data storage and digital infrastructure requirements.

Chindata completed its initial public offering on the Nasdaq under the symbol CD in 2020. The company was led by founder Chen Weidong, who served as chairman and chief executive officer. A consortium led by Bain Capital completed the company’s privatization in 2023, after which Chindata’s ordinary shares ceased trading publicly on Nasdaq.
