KB Financial Group (NYSE:KB). is a South Korean financial holding company headquartered in Seoul. Established in 2008, the group operates through a network of subsidiaries that provide banking, securities, insurance, asset management, credit card, consumer finance and other financial services to individuals, businesses and institutional clients.
Its principal subsidiary, KB Kookmin Bank, offers deposit accounts, lending, wealth management, foreign exchange, payments and corporate banking services. Other major businesses include KB Securities, which provides brokerage, investment banking and wealth management services; KB Insurance, which offers property, casualty and life-related insurance products; KB Kookmin Card, which provides credit and payment services; and KB Asset Management, which manages investment products. KB Financial Group serves customers primarily in South Korea and has expanded its financial services presence internationally through overseas offices, subsidiaries and partnerships. Its shares trade on the Korea Exchange, while American depositary shares trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol KB.
