About Prima BioMed

Prima BioMed (NASDAQ:IMMP) Limited was an Australian biotechnology company focused on developing immunotherapies for cancer and other serious diseases. The company’s research centered on treatments designed to activate or enhance the immune system’s ability to recognize and attack abnormal cells.

Its principal programs included LAG-3–targeted therapies, including IMP321, later known as eftilagimod alpha or efti, an investigational soluble LAG-3 protein intended to stimulate immune responses when used alone or in combination with other cancer treatments. Prima BioMed also developed IMP701, an antibody program targeting the LAG-3 pathway that was subsequently partnered and advanced under different ownership.

In 2014, Prima BioMed changed its name to Immutep Limited and continued its operations under the Immutep name. The company has conducted research and clinical development activities internationally, including in Australia, Europe and the United States. Marc Voigt has served as Immutep’s chief executive officer during the company’s development as a clinical-stage biotechnology business.
