Its activities include container shipping, port and terminal operations, logistics, freight forwarding, customs services, warehousing and distribution. Through its ocean business, Maersk transports manufactured goods, commodities and other cargo between major markets worldwide.
The company also provides end-to-end supply chain solutions, including air and ocean freight, inland transportation, contract logistics and digital supply chain management services. Its terminal operations are conducted primarily through APM Terminals, which operates and manages port facilities in multiple regions.
