About Aurizon

Aurizon (OTCMKTS:QRNNF) Group Ltd, trading as OTCMKTS:QRNNF, is Australia’s leading rail freight operator, specialising in bulk commodity and intermodal logistics. Formed in 2010 through the privatisation of Queensland Rail’s freight business, the company commands an extensive network spanning the Central Queensland coal system and key corridors along the country’s east coast. Aurizon’s core services encompass coal haulage, iron ore and other bulk mineral transport, as well as agricultural and livestock logistics.

In addition to bulk freight, Aurizon offers intermodal solutions that connect major ports and urban centres, supporting the movement of containers and consumer goods. The company also provides contract haulage and supply chain management services, integrating rail, road and terminal operations to deliver end-to-end logistics. Aurizon’s track maintenance and infrastructure teams undertake signalling, rail construction and asset management projects for both its own network and third-party clients.

Historically known as QR National, the business rebranded to Aurizon in 2012 to reflect its broadened focus beyond Queensland. Today, the company’s operations are centred in Queensland and New South Wales, with additional services extending to Western Australia and interstate freight routes. Under the leadership of Chief Executive Officer David Marchant, Aurizon continues to invest in digital planning tools, fleet modernisation and sustainability initiatives aimed at reducing carbon emissions and improving operational efficiency.
