About APA Group

APA Group (OTCMKTS:APAJF) is one of Australia’s leading energy infrastructure companies, primarily engaged in the ownership, operation and development of natural gas transmission pipelines and related assets. The company’s network extends over 15,000 kilometres, connecting major gas basins to industrial, commercial and residential users across eastern and western Australia, the Northern Territory and into New Zealand. Beyond gas transportation, APA Group also provides gas storage services and operates a growing portfolio of electricity transmission assets and telecommunications infrastructure co-located with its pipeline corridors.

Founded in 2000 as the APA Gas Pipeline Trust and rebranded as APA Group in 2004, the company has expanded through strategic acquisitions and greenfield developments. Key assets include major trunklines such as the Moomba to Sydney and Victoria to New South Wales interconnectors, the Roma to Brisbane Pipeline, as well as the Atlas, Goldfields and Pilbara pipelines in Western Australia. APA Group also owns and operates the Wallumbilla Gas Supply Hub, one of the nation’s significant gas storage and trading facilities.

Throughout its history, APA Group has pursued a diversified approach to energy infrastructure, adding electricity transmission projects such as the Emu Downs Wind Farm connection in Western Australia and integrating fibre-optic telecommunications fibres along its pipeline routes. This multi-utility strategy supports greater resilience and positions the company to meet evolving energy market dynamics, including renewable energy integration and future hydrogen transport potential.

APA Group’s executive leadership is spearheaded by Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Mick McCormack, who joined the company’s board in 2017 and took on the CEO role in 2021. The organisation is overseen by an experienced board of directors and employs over 1,400 staff dedicated to safe, reliable and sustainable infrastructure operations.
