Its automotive products include emissions measurement systems, engine and powertrain testing equipment, fuel-cell and battery evaluation systems, and vehicle testing solutions. HORIBA also supplies process and environmental monitoring instruments for measuring gases, water quality, particles and other industrial conditions.

In the semiconductor and scientific fields, the company provides metrology and process-control equipment, elemental analyzers, particle-size analyzers, spectroscopic instruments and related research tools. Its medical business includes clinical diagnostic systems and reagents, including products used in blood-cell and other laboratory testing.

Founded in Kyoto in 1945 by Masao Horiba, the company serves customers through operations and sales networks in Japan and international markets across the Americas, Europe and Asia. HORIBA’s products are used by automobile manufacturers, semiconductor companies, industrial manufacturers, research institutions, hospitals and government organizations.
