Key Points

  • Kaltura is expanding into AI-driven experiences following its acquisitions of conversational AI company eSelf and content-orchestration firm PathFactory. The company aims to offer personalized avatar agents for marketing, customer service, employee training, education and media.
  • The company reported early AI traction, with 14 AI-related deals worth about $1 million in total contract value, more than 500 additional opportunities and 60 active proof-of-concept engagements. Most deals remain small pilots that Kaltura hopes to convert into bookings and revenue growth.
  • Kaltura projects $184 million in 2026 revenue, up 2% year over year, with $16.5 million in adjusted EBITDA and positive free cash flow. Management expects growth investments could delay margin expansion until AI demand helps the business return to double-digit growth.

Kaltura NASDAQ: KLTR outlined its strategy to expand beyond enterprise video software into AI-driven conversational and personalized digital experiences during a presentation hosted by Noble Capital Markets.

Ron Yekutiel, Kaltura’s president and CEO, said the company has operated for 20 years as an enterprise video software-as-a-service provider and now aims to apply agentic AI to video, learning, customer engagement and media workflows. Kaltura serves about 1,200 customers, including 25% of the U.S. Fortune 100, according to Yekutiel.

The company guided for 2026 revenue of $184 million, representing 2% year-over-year growth, Yekutiel said. He added that 97% of revenue is subscription-based and that Kaltura has a 74% gross margin. The company’s latest adjusted EBITDA guidance is $16.5 million after two increases, he said, while noting that Kaltura generated $13 million in free cash flow last year and expects free cash flow to remain positive.

AI expansion follows acquisitions

Yekutiel said the broader video technology industry has been stagnant since the post-pandemic period, but he believes AI can create new growth opportunities for Kaltura. The company’s established offerings include video content management, corporate video portals, learning integrations, virtual events and cloud TV software.

Kaltura acquired conversational AI company eSelf in November 2025 and acquired PathFactory, an experience intelligence and content orchestration company, in April 2026. Yekutiel said the additions are intended to help Kaltura offer avatar-based agents that can converse with users, provide relevant content and guide customer, employee and learner interactions.

“What we waited for is for the advent of AI to turn everything that you've heard here into hyper-personalized video experiences,” Yekutiel said. “Content will be created for every individual, and experiences would be provided for every individual.”

The company demonstrated an investor-relations avatar that could answer questions about Kaltura, navigate presentation content and switch languages. It also showed an internal information agent designed to retrieve video clips and generate flashcards based on employee questions, as well as an AI-supported learning example.

Targeting marketing, learning and customer service

Yekutiel said Kaltura sees applications for its AI tools across marketing, sales, customer care, field service, employee training, education and television. Examples include website and event concierges, account-based marketing agents, customer-support agents, personalized tutors and TV content-discovery assistants.

PathFactory’s technology is expected to support the sequencing and orchestration of content presented by Kaltura’s agents, according to Yekutiel. The company is developing an account-based marketing agent for websites and event-related engagement, as well as learning and enablement products for enterprise and education customers.

He said Kaltura is pursuing a product-led growth approach for certain offerings, with a self-service version that could allow websites to deploy an agent connected to their existing content.

Kaltura reported 14 AI-related deals in its latest quarter with total contract value of about $1 million, Yekutiel said, describing most as small, early-stage pilots. The company also reported more than 500 AI opportunities and 60 active proof-of-concept engagements across its markets.

Growth and margin considerations

Yekutiel said Kaltura expects bookings to improve in the second half of the year and continue into next year, although he cautioned that large enterprise sales cycles take time. He characterized the AI products as incremental spending opportunities for existing customers rather than replacements for their current video deployments.

“We have the core business for just events or just content management staggering,” Yekutiel said, acknowledging headwinds in traditional products and increased churn in media and telecommunications. However, he said the company believes that trend will improve.

On profitability, Yekutiel said Kaltura ultimately expects adjusted EBITDA margins in the 20% range or higher, but management could prioritize growth investments if AI-related demand accelerates. He said investors should focus on the company’s ability to return to double-digit growth before expecting a near-term expansion in profits.

Yekutiel said Kaltura’s future milestones include converting AI proof-of-concepts into bookings and translating those bookings into revenue growth. He said the company expects early signs during 2026, with potentially greater impact next year.
