Company Overview

EACOM Timber Corporation is engaged in the lumber trading business. The Company's operations consist of purchasing lumber from North American producers and then selling it to customers in markets primarily outside of North America. Most of its transactions are based on pre-orders from customers. On June 30, 2010, the Company acquired the forest products business of Domtar Corporation (Domtar), which included seven sawmills, a 66.7% interest in an eighth sawmill, a remanufacturing plant and a 50% interest in a second remanufacturing plant. The forest products business is located in Quebec and Ontario, Canada. On January 5, 2010, the Company acquired the assets of the idled Big River Sawmill in Saskatchewan, Canada from Domtar. In September 2011, it sold the Big River Sawmill in Saskatchewan (Mill) to Carrier Forest Products Ltd.
