BAWAG Group AG is an Austria-based banking group headquartered in Vienna. Through its principal banking operations, including BAWAG and easybank, the company provides retail banking products such as current accounts, savings products, consumer loans, mortgages, payment services and investment solutions.

The group also serves small and medium-sized businesses, corporate customers, real estate clients and public-sector organizations. Its activities include commercial lending, corporate finance, real estate finance, leasing and other banking services. BAWAG Group has expanded beyond Austria and serves customers through operations and investments in selected European and international markets, including Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Ireland and the United States.

BAWAG traces its history to Österreichische Postsparkasse, an Austrian postal savings institution founded in 1883. The modern group was formed through the development and consolidation of BAWAG’s banking businesses and has pursued acquisitions and international expansion. BAWAG Group has been led by Chief Executive Officer Anas Abuzaakouk since 2017 and is listed on the Vienna Stock Exchange under the symbol BG.
