The company also provided aerial refueling systems, mission equipment, life-support technologies, and products used in aviation, space, maritime, and defense applications. Cobham served customers internationally, including defense organizations, aerospace manufacturers, commercial airlines, and government agencies.

Cobham was founded in 1934 by aviation pioneer Sir Alan Cobham and grew through acquisitions and the development of specialized engineering businesses. In 2020, the company was acquired by Advent International and delisted from the London Stock Exchange. Its former operations were subsequently reorganized under new ownership, and the historical OTC Markets ADR designation may not represent a currently active independently listed company.
