DNB ASA is a Norwegian financial services group and one of the country’s largest banking organizations. Headquartered in Oslo, the company provides banking and financial services to individuals, businesses, institutions and public-sector customers.

Its offerings include personal and business banking, deposit and lending products, mortgages, payment and cash-management services, corporate finance, investment banking, securities services, asset management and insurance. DNB also supports customers with investment, savings, foreign-exchange and capital-markets services.

DNB traces its roots to Norwegian banking institutions established in the 19th century and adopted its current structure following the merger of Den norske Bank and Gjensidige NOR in 2003. Although Norway is its principal market, the group serves customers internationally through operations and offices in selected Nordic and global financial centers. Kjerstin Braathen has served as DNB’s chief executive officer since 2019.
