First NBC Bank was a full-service commercial bank headquartered in New Orleans, Louisiana, and a wholly owned subsidiary of First NBC Bank Holding Company. Founded in 2006, the bank grew to serve individuals, businesses and governmental entities across southeastern Louisiana through a network of more than 50 branch offices. As a community-focused institution, First NBC Bank concentrated on building relationships within its regional footprint and providing tailored financial solutions.

The bank’s product offerings included a comprehensive suite of deposit accounts such as checking, savings and certificates of deposit, alongside a range of lending services. Commercial real estate financing, construction and land development loans, agricultural and industrial lending, as well as consumer installment loans were core components of its loan portfolio. First NBC Bank also offered treasury management, cash management, online and mobile banking platforms to support the day-to-day needs of its clients.

In April 2017, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) closed First NBC Bank and facilitated the transfer of most assets and deposits to CIT Bank, N.A. Although the bank’s branches and operations were assumed by CIT Bank, the holding company’s equity continues to trade on the OTC market under the symbol FNBCQ.
