Hertz Global Holdings and its subsidiaries filed for bankruptcy protection in 2020 amid the travel disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and emerged from bankruptcy in 2021. The company used the OTC Markets symbol HTZZ during its restructuring period before returning to trading on the Nasdaq under the symbol HTZ.
