Its products included aircraft wheels and brakes, sensing and monitoring equipment, thermal-management systems, fire-protection products, fuel systems, actuation equipment and other engineered components.

The company supplied original equipment manufacturers, airlines, aircraft operators and defense organizations worldwide. Its business included both the production of components for new aircraft and aftermarket services, such as maintenance, repair and replacement support. Meggitt served customers across North America, Europe, Asia and other international markets through manufacturing and service operations.

Meggitt was established in the United Kingdom in 1947 and became known as a major supplier of specialized aerospace technologies. Parker-Hannifin completed its acquisition of Meggitt in 2022, after which Meggitt ceased operating as an independent publicly traded company and its businesses became part of Parker Aerospace and related Parker operations.
