Mitsui Chemicals was established in 1997 through the merger of Mitsui Petrochemical Industries and Mitsui Toatsu Chemicals, building on the companies’ earlier chemical operations in Japan. It serves customers through manufacturing, research and sales operations in Japan and international markets across Asia, the Americas and Europe. The company is headquartered in Tokyo and is led by President and CEO Osamu Hashimoto.
