  • Cameco Co. has received a consensus recommendation of "Buy" from analysts, indicating positive sentiment from experts in the field.
  • Recent target price increases by various research firms, such as Scotiabank raising the target price to C$85.00, suggest potential growth and value in the stock.
  • Insider activity, including significant share sales by company insiders, can sometimes indicate confidence in the company's future performance.

  • Despite missing earnings estimates in the past, Cameco's revenue and return on equity figures indicate a solid financial standing for the company.

Cons

Investors should be bearish about investing in Cameco Co. for these reasons:

  • While the stock has shown stability, the current PE ratio of 132.22 and P/E/G ratio of 2.22 may indicate overvaluation, potentially leading to limited upside for investors.
  • The company's debt-to-equity ratio of 27.96 is relatively high, which could pose risks in times of economic uncertainty or market downturns.
  • Recent insider selling activities, with insiders selling a significant number of shares, might raise concerns about the company's future prospects.
  • Cameco's 1-year target price of C$77.67, while positive, may already be factored into the current stock price, limiting potential gains for new investors.
  • The company's beta of 0.93 indicates that the stock's price movements are less volatile compared to the market, potentially leading to lower returns during bullish market conditions.
