Stuart Olson Inc. provides general contracting and electrical building systems contracting services to the institutional and commercial construction markets in Canada. The company's Buildings Group segment provides general contracting services, including integrated project delivery, construction management, and design-build services for schools, hospitals, and high-rise buildings; and management, estimating, accounting, site management, field workers, and equipment in order to complete projects. Its Commercial Systems Group segment designs, builds, maintains, and services critical building systems, including electrical and life safety systems, voice, data and communications networks, security infrastructure, and other related building technology systems for commercial, institutional, light industrial, and multi-use low and high rise buildings. The company's Industrial Group segment provides contracting, maintenance, and turnaround services, such as electrical and instrumentation; mechanical; mechanical process insulation; industrial metal siding and cladding; scaffolding; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning; fire-stopping; heat trace tubing; and asbestos abatement services. This segment also offers a range of technical services on high voltage equipment, including project planning, acceptance testing, start-up and commissioning, maintenance, maintenance testing, infrared scanning, transformer assembly and repair, cable terminations, and reliability studies; temporary power services for initial project phases; ongoing electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation installation during construction phases; and value added services of continued operations and maintenance support for operating facilities, as well as full project commissioning services. The company was formerly known as The Churchill Corporation and changed its name to Stuart Olson Inc. in May 2014. Stuart Olson Inc. was founded in 1911 and is headquartered in Calgary, Canada.
